2020 Central Texas Sixth Grade Conference 

Focus
The focus of this conference is for each of our 6th graders to have a clear understanding of salvation and of the need for baptism.

Topic
“And Jehovah God called to the man and said to him, Where are you?”  Genesis 3:9 – Where are you?

Baptism Opportunities
Due to the present situation with COVID-19 the parents are recommended to coordinate with the saints in their locality for proper arrangements.

Who May Attend?
Young people who just completed 6th grade who meet with or are related to the Central Texas area churches.

Dates and Times

Meeting 1 — Friday, June 5 from 7:00-8:30 PM

Meeting 2 — Saturday, June 6 from 10:00-11:30 AM

Serving Ones
Please fellowship with your local elders before registering. Workers need approval from their leading brothers for registration. Registration is required.

Virtual Conferencing Etiquette

  1. Take care of each other’s ears—try to be in a place without much background noise.
  2. Headphones or earbuds are always a good idea if you are by yourself.
  3. If there are more than 2-3 participants on your call, a good rule of thumb is to keep yourself muted until you need to be heard. Bear in mind that the host can mute you, so you may need to unmute yourself before you speak in any case.
  4. Take care of each other’s eyes—make sure there is nothing in view behind you or upon you that could grieve the Holy Spirit or the conscience of the saints.
  5. Be properly and fully clothed. Make sure anyone who could pass behind knows they could be on camera. These small precautions are a protection to all of us.

 Registration Information

  • Deadline:  Tuesday, June 2, 2020
  • Fee:  Free. The cost for the conference is free but registration is required to assure security for the meeting and to facilitate planning and managing the conference. Conference materials will be distributed to all those who register.

Options to register your 6th grader:

  1. If you have the Zoom program installed on your computer, open that program up, make sure you are on the Home tab (icon at top), then select “Join.” Or you can click on the following Join Zoom Meeting link:

  2. Enter first and last names plus locality in parentheses; for example: Alice Young (Houston)
